তৃণমূলের শ্যামাপ্রসাদ ভজনা! : অজয় দাশগুপ্ত

অনেকেই অবাক হচ্ছেন, তৃণমূলের শ্যামাপ্রসাদ জন্মজয়ন্তী পালনের বহর দেখে। এতে অবাক হওয়ার কিছু নেই, ‘প্রতিযোগিতামূলক সাম্প্রদায়িকতা’-র দৌড়ে ‘রামনবমী’ আর ‘হনুমানজয়ন্তী’র পর এখন বিজেপি-র সঙ্গে পাল্লা দিয়ে তৃণমূলও বেশ কিছুদিন ধরে শ্যামাপ্রসাদ মুখোপাধ্যায়ের জন্মজয়ন্তী পালন করা শুরু করেছে। কলকাতা বন্দরে নেতাজী সুভাষের নামে ডক থাকলেও তার নামকরণ শ্যামাপ্রসাদের নামে করায় তাতে আপত্তি করার কোনো কারণ খুঁজে পাননি মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। ভাইপো সাংসদ তো রীতিমত সার্টিফিকেট দিয়ে টুইট করেছিলেন!

আরএসএস-র ‘দুর্গা’, আরএসএস-র একজন প্রথম সারির সেবককে অস্বীকার করতে পারেন! তৃণমূল-বিজেপি যে ‘মেড ফর ইচ আদার’ তা কি ভুলে যাচ্ছেন!!

একটু খতিয়ে দেখুন, তাহলেই বুঝবেন অন্য পরিচয়ের আড়ালে আসলে কে এই শ্যামাপ্রসাদ মুখোপাধ্যায়? শ্যামাপ্রসাদ মুখোপাধ্যায়ই জনসঙ্ঘের জন্মদাতা, যা পরে ভারতীয় জনতা পার্টিতে পরিণত হয়। আরএসএস-র মতই তিনিও স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামের বিরুদ্ধে ব্রিটিশ সাম্রাজ্যবাদের সঙ্গে সহযোগিতার নীতিতে বিশ্বাসী ছিলেন। ব্রিটিশ আমলে তিনি যখন বাংলা প্রদেশের মন্ত্রী ছিলেন, তখন হিন্দু মহাসভা আর মুসলিম লিগের পক্ষ থেকে ১৯৪২ সালের ২৬জুলাই ব্রিটিশ সরকারের গভর্নর স্যার জন হার্বার্টকে এক চিঠিতে লেখেন: “Let me now refer to the situation that may be created in the province as a result of any widespread movement launched by the Congress. Anybody, who during the war, plans to stir up mass feeling, resulting in internal disturbances or insecurity, must be resisted by any Government that may function for the time being” (Leaves from a diary. Oxford University Press, p. 179) (বিস্তীর্ণ এলাকায় ছড়িয়ে পড়া কংগ্রেসের আন্দোলনের ফলে এই প্রদেশে যে পরিস্থিতি সৃষ্টি হতে পারে সে সম্পর্কে এবারে বলি। সরকারের উচিৎ যে কোন লোক, যে যুদ্ধ চলাকালীন জনগণকে ক্ষেপিয়ে তুলে আভ্যন্তরীণ অশান্তি বা নিরাপত্তাহীনতা তৈরি করার পরিকল্পনা করে, তাকে আটকানো)।

গভর্নরকে লেখা ওই চিঠিতে ছিল, “প্রশ্ন হল বাংলায় এই আন্দোলনের বিরুদ্ধে (ভারত ছাড়ো) কিভাবে লড়া হবে। প্রশাসন এমনভাবে চালানো দরকার যাতে কংগ্রেসের হাজার চেষ্টা সত্ত্বেও এই প্রদেশে তা শেকড় ছড়াতে না পারে। আমাদের, বিশেষ করে দায়িত্বশীল মন্ত্রীদের, জনগণকে একথা বলতে পারা উচিৎ যে কংগ্রেস যে স্বাধীনতার দাবিতে ভারত ছাড়ো আন্দোলন শুরু করেছে, জনপ্রতিনিধিদের সেই স্বাধীনতা ইতিমধ্যেই দেওয়া হয়েছে। তবে হয়ত কিছু কিছু ক্ষেত্রে সেই স্বাধীনতা জরুরী অবস্থার কারণে সীমায়িত করা হয়েছে। ভারতীয়দের উচিৎ ব্রিটিশদের বিশ্বাস করা। ব্রিটেনের ভালর জন্যে নয়, এই প্রদেশের সুরক্ষা এবং স্বাধীনতা বজায় রাখার জন্যেই। গভর্নর হিসাবে আপনি এই প্রদেশের সাংবিধানিক প্রধানসুলভ কাজই করবেন এবং সম্পূর্ণভাবে আপনার মন্ত্রীদের পরামর্শ অনুযায়ী চলবেন।” (The RSS and the BJP: A Division of Labour. To compete with RSS-BJP with the similar weapon of communalism, the TMC has started observing date of birth & death of Syama Prasad Mookerjee apart from armed procession of RamNavami and Hanuman Jayanti. Never before such things happened in Bengal. BJP has introduced which is being followed by the TMC in competition.

Who is this Syama Prasad Mookerjee? Abetted and dictated by RSS he became the founder of JanaSangh, the political wing of RSS. JanaSangh became Bhartiya Janata Party led by the RSS. Like RSS Mookerjee also opposed Indian Freedom Movement. Just prior to Quit India Movement, he wrote to British Governor Sir John Herbert on July 26, 1942 on behalf of Hindu Mahasabha and Muslim League as a Minister in the cabinet of Muslim League Government in Bengal Province that, " Let me now refer to the situation that may be created in the province as a result of any widespread movement launched by the Congress. This is what Syama Prasad Mookerjee wrote as a Minister to the imperialist Governor of Bengal, Sir John Herbert on July 26, 1942 about 'Quit India Movement':

“The question is how to combat this movement in Bengal? The administration of the province should be carried on in such a manner that in spite of the best efforts of the Congress, this movement will fail to take root in the province. It should be possible for us, specially responsible Ministers, to be able to tell the public that the freedom for which the Congress has started the movement already belongs to the representatives of the people. In some spheres it might be limited during the emergency. Indians have to trust the British, not for the sake of Britain, not for any advantage that the British might gain, but for the maintenance of the defence and freedom of the province itself. You as Governor will function as the constitutional head of the province and will be guided entirely on the advice of your Ministers.

As one of your Ministers, I am willing to offer you my whole-hearted cooperation and serve my province and country at this hour of crisis. The conditions which I have mentioned above are of a general character. They are mentioned not for creating any obstacle. They indicate to you, who are after all a foreigner, how an Indian would like to cooperate with you in the service of his country that is threatened with imminent danger.” “Let me now refer to the situation that may be created in the province as a result of any widespread movement launched by the Congress.
